The Open-Air Arts Initiative (OAAI), a collaboration of Blue Hill Heritage Trust (BHHT) and Cynthia Winings Gallery of Blue Hill, will host a series of Young Artists Workshops in 2017. We are excited to announce that Maine Coast Heritage Trust will be joining in the fun by hosting two workshops on their preserves!
The mission of the OAAI is to inspire creativity in the young people who live on the Blue Hill Peninsula by encouraging them to get outside and explore nature.
Bring your favorite art supplies and join us for a morning of exploration and creative expression on these gorgeous conserved lands! Participants are invited to submit their creations to the OAAI art show at the Blue Hill Public Library during February 2018. Selected works will be showcased in printed materials such as the Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Area Guide and BHHT publications. OAAI is designed to foster creativity and help young people feel more connected to the place they call home.
This workshop is free and open to all school aged youth on the peninsula. For more information and to register for the event, please contact Chrissy Allen at the Blue Hill Heritage Trust 374-5118 or email email@example.com.
We had a great time at our first event on June 4th. These young artists trekked to the top of Blue Hill Mountain with packs and baskets full of art supplies for a day of creativity and inspiration!
